Thailand Post partners with bolttech to launch online motor insurance

Customers can now purchase motor insurance via Thailand Post’s online channels or in-person at any post office branch

Bangkok, Thailand, 3 December 2024 – Thailand Post, the country’s largest postal service provider, in collaboration with bolttech, a fast-growing global insurtech, announced the launch of an embedded compulsory motor insurance offering, enabling customers easy access to quality insurance products via Thailand Post’s nationwide network, both online and offline. 

Powered by bolttech, this innovative offering provides coverage for personal cars and trucks, including compensation for death, disability, loss of limb, and medical expenses. The coverage extends to the driver, passengers, and other individuals impacted by road accidents, ensuring comprehensive coverage and greater peace of mind for customers.

Customers can now purchase discounted ERGO motor insurance via Thailand Post’s website or by scanning the QR code on receipts from post office transactions. Payment options include credit card, online banking, QR Code, Line Pay, and more. The service is currently available in six pilot provinces — Ayutthaya, Ang Thong, Lopburi, Sing Buri, Chainat, and Saraburi — and will be available nationwide until 31 December 2024. Policies are delivered via email and can be used for vehicle tax renewal at any post office.
