mTek rebrands to bolttech

Nairobi, Kenya, 22 June – mTek Services, a Kenya-based digital insurance platform, has been renamed to bolttech Kenya and rebranded to bolttech.

The rebrand follows bolttech’s acquisition of mTek in December 2025, when the company became part of the growing international insurtech group. The move marked an important step in bolttech’s expansion in Africa and strengthened its digital insurance capabilities in the region.

Founded in 2019, mTek has built a leading digital platform that enables customers in Kenya to compare, purchase, and manage insurance seamlessly. Its technology supports greater access to insurance through simple, transparent, and paperless experiences, helping to advance financial inclusion in the market.

With the rebrand, bolttech further strengthens its presence in Africa and expands its ability to deliver embedded insurance solutions by combining mTek’s local market expertise with bolttech’s global insurance and protection ecosystem.
