Inclusive finance, value-added protection: How Home Credit Philippines and bolttech scaled embedded protection offering across the Philippines
A partnership that turns point-of-sale (POS) financing into protected ownership – covering devices and appliances in the home.
The brief
Since launching in the Philippines in 2013, Home Credit Philippines (Home Credit) has focused on responsible lending and financial inclusion – making everyday purchases accessible through POS instalment loans, cash loans and digital credit.
To strengthen value for customers financing high-use, valuable items like mobiles and appliances, Home Credit partnered with bolttech to offer simple, trusted protection at the moment of purchase across in-store and digital channels.
The ambition: a seamless, compliant protection journey that frontliners can offer with confidence, customers can understand in seconds, and purchase easily. All with fast servicing and straightforward claims experiences. The partnership has evolved from device protection to appliance protection and, next, borrower protection.
