Delivering protection at scale: bolttech and Erajaya launch TecProtec across Indonesia

A long-term partnership embedding seamless device protection into Indonesia’s leading retail network 

The brief

Erajaya is Indonesia’s largest and most trusted distributor and retailer of mobile telecommunication devices and consumer electronics, with over 2,000 points of sale through leading brands such as Erafone, Samsung, iBox and operator stores.

To strengthen its customer proposition, Erajaya partnered with bolttech in 2012 to launch embedded device protection for mobile phones. As customer expectations evolved, the collaboration expanded into broader coverage, bundled services and digital tools designed to deliver a seamless and innovative customer experience.

What we delivered

Together, Erajaya and bolttech have expanded device protection into a comprehensive suite of services, from repair and upgrades to cyber protection and digital self-service, creating more value and convenience for customers across Indonesia.

Developed the TecProtec product brand to provide mobile device protection and repair services nationwide
Enabled protection for a growing range of devices from smartphones to smartwatches, drones, action cameras and other consumer electronics
Launched Upgrade Teruss, a bundled proposition offering customers device protection, upgrades and leasing
Introduced Bebas Tukar, a device switch programme for Erafone customers
Introduced a new version of TecProtec that included Cyber Protection, allowing customers to have extra peace of mind for their digital activities against potential risks such as identity and personal data misuse
Integrated bolttech engage into the Eraspace app in 2023, enabling customers to manage protection plans and request services directly

Results

More than a decade on, bolttech is embedded across Erajaya’s nationwide retail footprint, driving growth and reinforcing its market leadership. Together, the partnership has delivered sustained innovation and strong customer value.
