bolttech appoints Bente Krogmann as General Manager, Africa

NAIROBI – 24 August 2026 – bolttech, the global insurtech, today announced the appointment of Bente Krogmann as General Manager, Africa, strengthening its regional leadership as the company continues to grow its business and partnerships across the continent.

Having previously served as General Manager for Kenya, Bente has been promoted to an expanded regional role leading bolttech’s business across Africa, including Kenya and South Africa. She will work closely with market leaders and teams across the region to drive growth, strengthen commercial execution and accelerate new partnership opportunities.

The appointment reflects bolttech’s continued focus on building a more connected and scalable business across Africa, bringing its capabilities and market expertise closer together to support partners and capture new growth opportunities across the region.

Bente brings extensive experience in insurtech, entrepreneurship and insurance distribution in Africa, having lived and worked in East Africa for the past 14 years. She founded Kenyan insurtech mTek, which was acquired by bolttech in 2025, and has since played a key role in growing bolttech’s business in East Africa, developing digital insurance propositions and strategic partnerships across the region.
