bolttech to sponsor Project 1000 endurance run across Malaysia

Singapore, 6 March 2026 – bolttech, the fast-growing global insurtech, is proud to announce its participation in bolttech Project 1000, an approximately 735 – 750 kilometre run across Peninsular Malaysia from 7 to 14 March 2026 led by Asia-based endurance athlete and Guinness World Record-holder Natalie Dau.

A group of 60 bolttech employees, comprising members of bolttech’s leaders and colleagues from Malaysia, are joining Natalie in this momentous event. The challenge will see participants running an average of around 105 kilometres per day over seven consecutive days. The bolttech Project 1000 mission aims not only to break Natalie’s existing record for the fastest on-foot crossing of Peninsular Malaysia (which she set in 2024 by completing a similar journey in just over eight days) but also to shine a spotlight on a meaningful cause.

The event will raise funds and awareness for Cahaya Surya Bakti (CSB), an outreach centre in Johor, Malaysia, that supports Rohingya refugee women and children through safety, education, healthcare access, and community programmes, with a strong emphasis on financial education and inclusion. Through its Art & Craft Centre and outreach initiatives, CSB empowers women and youth to turn creativity into sustainable livelihoods, developing real‑world financial skills such as earning, saving, and budgeting, while building long‑term financial literacy, independence, and resilience across the wider community.

The timing of the challenge – which coincides with International Women’s Day on 8 March – further highlights a shared commitment to empowering women and girls and supporting underserved communities.

Rob Schimek, Group Chief Executive Officer, bolttech, said: “At bolttech, we’re driven by a pioneering spirit – in how we innovate, how we make protection more accessible and relevant, and how we support the communities we serve. bolttech Project 1000 is an extraordinary embodiment of that spirit. Natalie’s Guinness World Record attempt is a powerful example of using endurance and determination to spotlight underserved communities across Asia. We are proud to stand behind a cause that promotes better health, well-being, and empowerment for those who need it most.”

This initiative also follows bolttech’s successful participation in previous extreme endurance events – including the bolttech Antarctica Ice Marathon 2023 and bolttech Aurora Marathon 2025 – underscoring the company’s ongoing focus on health, wellness, and a spirit of adventure.
