bolttech appoints Romaney O’Malley as Group Chief Financial Officer
International insurtech reinforces leadership bench with latest appointment
Singapore, 30 November 2021 – bolttech today announced it has appointed Romaney O’Malley as Group Chief Financial Officer. Based in the UK, Romaney will be responsible for driving the financial strategy and management of the group’s businesses and operations in its 26 markets across three continents.
Romaney will bring more than 20 years of insurance industry experience. Most recently, she served as the Chief Financial Officer of AIG in the UK, and she is a board member for AIG UK. Previously, Romaney worked for other industry leaders including Liberty Group in South Africa and Swiss Re in the UK, with a focus on strategic finance, risk analytics and general management.
Romaney’s career has been recognised by the industry – she was named an honoree at the Women to Watch Awards in 2017 and a nominee at the Women in Finance Awards 2018 as Insurance Leader of the Year.
As Chief Financial Officer, Romaney will be joining the Executive Committee and reports directly to Rob Schimek, Group Chief Executive Officer.

Romaney starts her role in February 2022, taking over from Craig Merdian, who will be retiring in early 2022.
